To kick off our hot springs tour we are looking for some volunteers to help us clean up Loftus. We will go out Sunday 12/13 plan to be ready to leave at 11:00 am. Bring warm, and appropriate gear to clean up the land surrounding the hot springs, and a dinner. We can soak in our freshly cleaned hot spring upon completion of the job. Depending on the number of volunteers, we may need someone to help with transportation- unless you guys want to sit in the van that long, and hope it can go the distance! We will meet at Ann Morrison.

I don't think the van will make it, plus its a 2 wheel drive. I would have everyone carpool in all or 4 wheel drive vehicles just to be a little safer. We'll have trash grabbers and bags.

Chris, I'm good to go for the 13th. I only have a two wheel drive car, so I'll probably need a ride with someone in their 4x4. I'll see you next Sunday, and I'll bring a camera and take some good publicity shots (of you drunk in the hot springs ). ~ Rory

WHAT ITS WINTER? who'd of guessed there would be snow ever- just to make sure, and to have a back up plan to a more accessible hotsprings with visible trash- I can't remember where to go to get current road conditions- I do know the road to loftus gets washed out and closed down from time to time- with that it would be nice to check on the conditions before we leave, and if it is a problem we will gather a plan B hotsprings- either way we will go somewhere great- just want to make sure we can get there

If the roads do not cooperate we have a back up plan! Would prefer to get Loftus ASAP if we can, if not we will go to Wildrose- If people can chip in on gas also it would be greatly appreciated- we have two vehicles available, if the list winds up full and you have a vehicle with full or all wheel drive that you want to take- post it, and how many seats you have available.

I don't recognize your name- which does not say much (I can never remember anyone's name) If you have not volunteered for Boise River Volunteers before we will have you sign a waiver- if you are under 18 we need a parent to sign as well, also if you go to the home page for this site there is a contact section- if you fill that out you get put on our email list so you will be updated on all of our events. We meet at Ann Morrison park, by the road where you would usually catch the bus to get back to Barber park- kind of by the playground, and bathrooms- we will meet at 11- look for a 2007 Toyota Tacoma- with stickers on the back window that have the BRV logo on them- or more likely than not the only weirdos hanging out at the park in this weather- feel free to email me with any questions- amberhoid@gmail.com
